Football referees are the most important character on the field. Without referees, games would be lacking someone to uphold the laws of the game, meaning that football matches would likely create anarchy in the game.

Becoming an American football referee is not easy because football’s rules are a bit more complicated. But once the rules are mastered, there are typically ample opportunities coming your way.

The referee’s priority is to keep the game as safe as possible for the players. While there is risk in all sports, the referee is responsible for minimizing such risks from field conditions, equipment, spectators, and the players. Many professional football referees enjoy a lucrative career but the road to success is not always easy.

Here’s how to become an American football referee that you just see during the NFL game and after getting dolphins ticket.

Learn the rules of the game as well as the ins and outs. You can’t officiate anything without knowing the game.

The first stage involved in becoming a football referee is to register with your local County Football Association. After you have registered you can take a Referees Course.

Pick a lower level of competition to begin your officiating career such as a youth league or junior high school with in your community. It’s easier to break into these levels and competition for jobs fierce. You may find that officiating youth leagues satisfy your needs first then you move up to higher level.

Have someone take videos of you every time you participated in a game as a referee. Study those videos, compare them to professional game videos and learn your strengths and weakness. Have experienced referees evaluate your game videos and ask for advice on your performance as well as areas that needs improvements.

Apply to small college programs by submitting a resume outlining your previous referee experiences. From there, you can transition into major college programs and games and finally to the professional league. The next time you are already a referee at an NFL game that you just enjoying watching after buying dolphin tickets.

The Chicago Bears, beloved NFL franchise since 1919, have had many glorious years, with many more to come. This is one of those old-time teams that has a place in the hearts of thousands; a team full of passion and fight, a team that does what it takes to get to the end. Two short years after they were founded, the Bears began their rivalry with the Green Bay Packers, one thing fans can count on year in and year out. One year after this rivalry began, the Bears took their current colors, and have kept them ever since. That is one of the great things about this team, besides their talent, the fact that they are stable and are not going anywhere anytime soon.

Wrigley Field, another popular field to Chicagoans, was used as the Bears’ stomping grounds in the old days, mostly for scrimmage games. The team, obviously, needed a stadium they could call home, which they had not too long after they were a team, a stadium we all know as Soldier Field. Over the years the stadium has taken a lot of abuse, and required quite a bit of remodeling. The entire stadium was pretty much tore down and rebuilt by 2003, leaving only one wall from the original stadium. The new stadium was so different and new, in fact, that it was even renamed the Soldier Field II.

The Chicago Bears have always made record sales for home games, and even games on the road. Ticket sales, for the Chicago bears, are well within the top 20 highest sales across the entire league. In fact, they are within the top 10 most profitable teams in the NFL, and its history, with a cash flow of 1.1 billion dollars. The combination of their solid history, the 2009 roster changes, and summer training, the 2009 season was just as eventful as every other season the Bears have given their fans. Jay Cutler, a Pro Bowl quarterback from the Broncos, joined the Bears in the spring of 2009, which added some great talent to their offensive line.

After 90 years on the league, the Bears have retired 13 numbers. Players like Walter Payton, Harold Grange, Sid Luckman, George Halas, George McAfee, and Bill George — some old and some more recent. Other retired jerseys belong to Willie Galimore, Dick Butkus, Bill Hewitt, Clyde Turner, Gayle Sayers, Brian Piccolo, and Bronko Naqurski. Their history runs deep and will for many years to come. Bears fans are just as dedicated to their team, as the team is to the field and their fans.

There is nothing quite like being at a football game and hearing the players throw each other around the field. The sweat, grunting, play calls, and yelling are enough to get anyone excited about the game. Many say you don’t really experience football until you see the Chicago Bears play, especially live. This will be another astonishing year for the team. Don’t miss you chance to see them play, live, at Soldier Field II.

Will The Ravens Make It To The Big Game? http://www.footballfansworld.net/2010/03/will-the-ravens-make-it-to-the-big-game/ http://www.footballfansworld.net/2010/03/will-the-ravens-make-it-to-the-big-game/#comments Wed, 10 Mar 2010 22:08:25 +0000 Matt Ryan http://www.footballfansworld.net/2010/03/will-the-ravens-make-it-to-the-big-game/ Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.]]> The Baltimore Ravens are, what many sports enthusiasts would call, infants in the NFL. The originated in Cleveland, and after much debate, Art Modell finally got his wish of moving them to Baltimore. They did not have their own stadium, at first, so they plated in Memorial Stadium, home of the Colts. It only took two years for their stadium to be ready; although, the name of the stadium changed numerous times over the next ten years (it took some time for the team to settle in).

After they moved to their new stadium, the Ravens did not overly improve their game, not even with coach Marchibroda. Their first season ended at a 6-10 record, nothing overly impressive. After only two years, in their new stadium, the head coached was replaced with Billick. Billick’s first season, with the Ravens proved to be a difficult one. Once the team got over the hump of having a new coach, and a few rough years behind them, they ended their ‘99 season with a 8-8 record; the best they’d seen yet.

Not even ten years later, the 2008 season, the Baltimore Ravens nearly made it to the Super Bowl. In a fight on home turf against the Jaguars, they won their spot in the AFC playoffs placement. An unfortunate turn of events allowed them to slip out of the running for the Super Bowl, but they made it farther than they ever had.

After a phenomenal season in 2008, the team has a new saying — “Play like a Raven”. This saying is spreading quickly, especially around home. Those who witnessed play during training of the 2009 summer will vouch for the fact that the team busted their humps. So not only was the team pumped to play, but they also had 26th pick in the draft, which helped them a lot. Michael Oher was predicted to see some good field time in the ‘09 season with the Ravens.

The Ravens are a new team as they are just starting their 12th season on the NFL. Regardless, after some hard work, they have made their way to some big games and attention. Everyone is excited about the 2010 season. The tickets will sell quick so be sure get your tickets as soon as they go on-sale!

Dallas Cowboys Football History http://www.footballfansworld.net/2009/12/dallas-cowboys-football-history/ http://www.footballfansworld.net/2009/12/dallas-cowboys-football-history/#comments Wed, 23 Dec 2009 11:19:43 +0000 Richie Stevens http://www.footballfansworld.net/2009/12/dallas-cowboys-football-history/ Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.]]> Based in Irving, Texas, the Dallas Cowboys are one of the professional football teams of the Western states. They are currently housed at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. They first joined the NFL in 1960 as an expansion team. They became very popular hence, primarily because the team has always shown the might and the form of a champion.

For 160 consecutive games, the Dallas Cowboys have sold out every single seat in their arena. This streak started almost 20 years ago. This only shows how powerful the team really is, in and out of the playing court. The record they have established caused them to earn the title of being the most valuable sports franchise in the United States by Forbes Magazine.

Before they are known as the Cowboys, the team was called the Steers and the Rangers first. The team started playing in the 1960s at the Cotton Bowl arena. They never won a single game during their first season though. But that didn’t stop them from winning big several years later.

With Don Meredith, Chuck Howley, and Don Perkins playing for the team in the 1960s, the team slowly but surely became one of the contenders of the league. The nationwide popularity of the Dallas happened the next decade when they became the favorites during the Super Bowl. The team won Super Bowl XII, after making an appearance in Super Bowl X and eventually, in Super Bowl XIII.

In the 1980s, Danny White joined the team. He replaced Roger Staubach as quarterback and he was able to lead the Cowboys to a five-time playoff series during his reign. But despite their good performance, the team failed to make it into Super Bowl. There were lots of losses and disappointments during this decade. But the team knows how to get past them.

In the 2000s, Dave Campo moved from being a defensive coordinator to head coach. But he failed to perform as expected. However, in 2003, the Cowboy became the team with the best record, allowing them to acquire a playoff berth during that season. The Cowboys were actually on and off, being in the playoffs and then out again. It is like a rollercoaster ride, as the team tried to regain their lost championship form.

However, a few more misfortunes befell the team as 12 of the players got injured in an accident at their practice facility. The arena collapsed when a wind storm strike. Even so, the Dallas Cowboys will continue to be a strong force in the NFL. In fact, they are scheduled to be a part of the Legacy Weekend games of the 2009 season.

Throughout their stint in the National Football League, the cowboys have won a total of five Super Bowl Championships. They have 10 Conference Championships and 19 Division Championships as well, along with a total of 29 playoff appearances.

The team used to play at the Cotton Bowl stadium during their first few years in the league. Then they transferred to the Texas Stadium in 1971 until they moved out only a year ago. Right now, the team is playing at the Cowboys Stadium, which serves as their official home court.

Rich Stephenson is in the web development field for a ticket agency that sells tickets to all sports, concert and theater events. Ticket agency also where you can Buy Dallas Cowboys Tickets as well as Cheap NFL Tickets for and all other football games.

It is the premier association of american football and super bowl is the championship game of NFL. Majority of television viewers in America watch NFL super bowl. The day on which this game is played is known as the national holiday in America and is also known as Super Bowl Sunday. This day is also the second largest food consumption day in America. The popularity of NFL championships can be compared to Thanksgiving Day. Major television networks of America compete to get the exclusive broadcast rights to broadcast this game.

Investing in advertising is pretty costly in this game because if a company gets only a 30 seconds of commercial slot during the game then the cost is one million. So for this reason companies show their most expensive advertisement for this broadcast. The reason of so expensive commercial slots is that if an advertisement is shown during the game then it gets great exposure and a lot can be profit from it.

The NFL (National Football League) and AFL (American Football League) were once the rival leagues in America. Both these leagues formed a merger in an agreement. In the agreement, it was agreed that the champion teams of both the leagues would play in the championship game of AFL and NFL until this merger continued. Each league became conference after forming of merger and the conference champions played in the NFL Super Bowl game. The day of 15th January in the year 1967 was the day when the NFL Super Bowl was played for the first time in America.

The term Super Bowl was named by Lamar hunt who was the founder member of the AFL (American Football League). The name Super Bowl came in his mind after seeing his children busy in playing with the super ball. Each game is separately identified in Super Bowl. To identify each Super Bowl game, roman numerals are used. In the year 1967, Super Bowl I which was the first game of NFL Super Bowl was played and in the year 2010, Super Bowl XLIV which will be the next game of NFL Super Bowl will be played.

This time the NFL Super Bowl will be played in Landshark stadium of Miami. In the past years, the Landshark stadium has organized many football events in which four were Super Bowls and two were World Series. In 2010, Landshark stadium will be hosting the NFL Super Bowl for the fifth time and this Super Bowl event will be the ninth for the whole Miami area.

Super Bowl XLIV event will officially begin on February 7, 2010. Super Bowl XLIV will make Florida a busy state because of the fans coming to the Landshark stadium to watch this game live. The hotels, restaurants and inns are all prepared to accomodate fans and tourists. The Landshark stadium has also been prepared for this day with the seating capacity of at least 65,000 fans. Fans have been buying Manchester United tickets to their home games at Old Trafford, since’10 (except for 8 years after it was bombed during World War II). The stadium was named Field of Dreams by one of its most renown players Bobby Charlton. Sir Robert “Bobby” Charlton became famous for his attacking instincts from “Midfield” midfield and his ferocious long-range shot. He won the “FIFA World Cup” World Cup and was named the “Ballon d’Or” European Footballer of the Year in’66.

With space for 76,212spectators, Old Trafford has the second-largest capacity of any English football stadium, a neutral venue and with several “English national football team” England international fixtures. It also hosted matches at the “1966 FIFA World Cup”‘66 FIFA World Cup and “UEFA Euro’96″ and the “2003 UEFA Champions League Final”.

The Old Trafford pitch is surrounded by four covered all-seater stands, officially known as the North, East, South and West Stands. Each stand has at least two tiers, with the exception of the South Stand, which only has one tier due to construction restrictions. The lower tier of each stand is split into Lower and Upper sections, the Lower sections having been converted from terracing in the early’90s.

Arguably the best-known stand at Old Trafford is the West Stand, or the Stretford End. Originally designed to hold 20,000fans, the Stretford End was the last stand to be covered and also the last remaining all-terraced stand at the ground before the forced upgrade to seating in the early’90s. Stretford End houses Manchester United’s most die-hard supporters, known as The Red Army. Much of the noise and atmosphere at Old Trafford emanates from this stand, and it was once measured that the roar from the Red Army there was louder than that of a jumbo jet lifting off. It is practically impossible to get a set in the Stretford End as the fans that fill this stand have Manchester United season tickets.

Manchester United’s Red Army was once the biggest and most infamous group of followers British football has ever seen. When the Red Army of Manchester followed their team to an away game, the town would be in a uproar. The Red Army would travel en-mass by train, coach, car or even by foot if necessary. In “1974-75 in English football” the mid-seventies when Manchester United had been relegated from the top flight of English football and played one season in the “Football League Second Division” Second Division, the Red Army caused such mayhem at grounds up and down the country visiting stadiums where they would at times outnumber the home support, it led to the introduction of home and away fan segregation and fencing at football grounds throughout England.

The modern day Red Army is nothing like it’s counterpart from the’70’s … 80’s. No longer solely a Manchester based supporters club, with a fan base of over 300 million fans it has grown to have membership world wide. This huge number of fans, all of whom would like to get to Old Trafford, both to see the game and to experience the atmosphere there, result in it almost always being difficult to buy Manchester United Tickets.
