I can’t believe we’re almost done with yet another decade. In just several weeks, the end of the 00s will be behind us, and I’d like to take the time to look back at the decade that was, showcasing the best five NFL quarterbacks to have played football during these ten years.

The Seattle Seahawks seem to be poised for a bounce back year, following a disappointing 2008 campaign that saw the team finish with a losing record. They’ve made some changes; most importantly their new head coach Jim Mora.

The New Orleans Saints started out the season with all guns blazing. They have the potential to have the greatest offense the league has seen in the last 30 years which includes the 2007 New England Patriots team that set many NFL scoring records.

From 2003 to 2008, the Oakland Raiders have a record of 24-72, and they have perfected the art of the 4-12 season. The Raiders have been going nowhere fast and the 09′ season doesn’t seem to be any different.

What has become of the mighty Tennessee Titans. This is a team that opened up the season undefeated through the first two months of the NFL season in 2008.

The Ravens were one of those football teams that got stronger and stronger as the season progressed. Rookie QB Joe Flacco continued to develop through the course of the 2008 NFL season and looked almost like a veteran by the end of the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs entered the season with new hope, and with good reason. While the team shouldn’t reasonably expect to make the playoffs in 2009, an improved set of players offensively and defensively should give the Chiefs a little more to strive for than in recent years.

The Patriots entered the 2009 NFL season as the hands-on favorite to win the AFC East. Having played some great football last season in the absence of Tom Brady, a team with Brady as its QB over Matt Cassel would be even better, right?

With a disappointing season in 08′, 6-10, behind the Green Bay Packers, the team looks to be a contender in the NFC North Division. They’re strong on both sides of the ball and have a young QB that can take this team to the next level.
