Based in New Jersey, the New York Giants have long represented the spirit of America through their perseverance, strong team leadership, and history of great football playing. The Giants currently rank third in the NFL franchises, and have seven NFL titles. 1927 was the year they took home their first title, and they haven’t stopped since.

In 1953, a championship team was born: the Indianapolis Colts. Starting out in Baltimore, Maryland, the Colts began as the Baltimore Colts, playing in their home state. They didn’t end up in Indianapolis until 1984 where they played for many years at the Hoosier (now RCA) Dome. They have been named the horseshoes because of their logo and basic colors are blue and white, with the simple logo stamped on top.

The West Virginia Mountaineers is known as the athletics team for West Virginia University. The university is known to have teams that participate in seventeen different sports. They currently have a mascot that is referred to as the Mountaineer. Even though the West Virginia Mountaineers are known to have a number of teams in a variety of different sports, they are more popularly known for their success in football and basketball.

Every state university in America is known to have an athletics team. This team is known to participate in a number of different sports amongst various divisions across the country. Even though there are a large number of teams to look at, one that is known to stand out from the rest is the Utah Utes. The Utah Utes are the athletics team for the University of Utah. The team name originated from a tribe that was known by the name of Ute.

The Cincinnati Bearcats represent the University of Cincinnati in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Games in which the Big East Conference plays. They became members of that conference in July 1, 2005. When the team was first created in 1885 they played independently until 1909. Seven of those 25 years show more losses, three have an equal number of wins and losses while fourteen reflect more wins. There was one year when the team did not play, 1907.

The most popular sport in the United States of America that is both watched and played is American football. One of the surprising things about American football is that it is not only watched in the States. There is a large crowd that is known to watch to game on a global scale. Looking at the league itself, there are a large number of teams that participate from every state. One that is known to be quite popular amongst the fans is the New England Patriots.
