The team that everybody is talking about making a lot of noise this season is the New York Mets, Now whether these expectations are realistic or not is yet to be seen. The one thing that is known is that the team has a sense of dis order that they will need to overcome, if they are hoping to beat the rest of the competition.

The least of these is a just general sense of disorder. There are teams that play in Russia that at more organized than the Mets this season. While there are many people out there that say the team should just skip this season and try again next year, I say that the Mets are capable of making something out of this season. There will just need to be one thing in place, and that is talent.

The first place that the talent search will need to come from, is from the bullpen, this is the key in trying to keep runners out of scoring position, this may sound like an elementary concept, but a number of teams get beat every year because this simple basic concept is not in place for the team. the bullpen is where it all begins for the team, this is the first stop in holding a runner at the base, or even preventing him from advancing altogether. There will be a lot of work that will need to be done in order to make sure that they are able to have a solid pitching rotation that will be the top of the line. There will need to be a closer in place that can close the game out and save the potential runs.

This will make the job of the closer that much more difficult when he is looking to close the game out. If this issue is not resolved, then there will be a lot of trouble in the long run for the Mets and their pitching game.

Now after the pitching has failed the next area to examine is the outfield. This is a problem as well as there are several places that the team will need to make sure that they are able to secure when it comes to stopping the runners from gaining more bases than they really should. There are several players that will be placed in the outfield to see which one is the best fit for the position. With a little luck, there is the hope that the team will be able to get all of the problems worked out by the end of the Spring Training games. This will be a vital area, if the bullpen fails to do their job.

Now there are few things that you can say about the infield of the team, there is one of the better infields in professional baseball. This will be one of the good parts of the 2010 Mets season, there are not many problems that this position has, this will be the one thing that will help them win games and make a case as to why they should be in the post season. This is the bright spot of the Mets season, other than this there will not be many bright parts to the teams season.

No matter if you love them or hate them, there is a lot that can be said about the Mets. Most of it this season will not be fit to print, but nonetheless there will be things to say about the team, in the end though there will be a dismal season for the team and as a result you will begin to curse the team.
