The team that everybody is talking about making a lot of noise this season is the New York Mets, Now whether these expectations are realistic or not is yet to be seen. The one thing that is known is that the team has a sense of dis order that they will need to overcome, if they are hoping to beat the rest of the competition.

Spring time means one thing time for the Texas Longhorns to take the field and to make another run for the post season. There is a lot of hope for the team from Austin this year, many people think that this will be the year that they will go back to the College World Series and reclaim their spot in baseball history.

The English Premier League season is only a couple of weeks old, but newly promoted Burnley has already pulled off what may be the biggest upset of the season in all of European soccer. In their first home game at the top level of English soccer in 33 years, Robbie Blake scored early in the game and Burnley held on to upset reigning league champions Manchester United before 20,000 jubilant fans.

Its been a rough stretch of CFL football for the Toronto Argonauts, and they may have hit rock bottom on Friday night. The Argos entered the fourth quarter with a 25-14 lead but ended up on the wrong end of a 36-28 final score that ran their streak of futility at the Rogers Centre to nine games. It was also Toronto’s ninth consecutive loss to BC. BC improved to 3-4 with the victory, while Toronto’s record slipped to 2-5.

Well here we are again at the beginning of yet another season for the Boston Red Sox. This can only mean one thing, the renewal of a rivalry with the Yankees, along with a charge towards the World Series. Now this will not be an easy climb towards the top of the baseball world, there will be a lot of obstacles that they will need to overcome in order to make the most out of the 2010 season. If the Red Sox’s are successful in their efforts in making the needed changes in the lineup, then Boston will have a great year.

Well it is that time of the year again, time to dust off the old crystal ball and see what the future of the Atlanta Braves has in store for 2010. I would love to say that America’s team is going to give the fans their money’s worth this season, but in the end it think it will be best if America just finds a new team.

Two weeks after being thoroughly outplayed by the New York Jets, the New England Patriots have won two straight and on Sunday ended the Baltimore Ravens undefeated start to the NFL season with a 27-21 victory. They needed a little luck along the way”usually sure handed receiver Mark Clayton dropped a wide open fourth down pass in the final minute to kill a potential game winning drive deep in New England territory. Both teams are now 3-1 on the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs have had an awful preseason, primarily due to their inability to put points on the board. This liability cost offensive coordinator Chan Gailey his job earlier in the week, but in the first game with head coach Todd Haley calling the plays it was more of the same as the Chiefs couldn’t find the end zone. St. Louis scored an offensive touchdown late in the first half and used a third quarter interception return for a score to beat Kansas City 17-9. The Chiefs finished the NFL preseason with a winless 0-4 record, while St. Louis posted a 3-1 mark.
